The objective of the Charity Golf Day is ''To make a significant and quantifiable difference to the life of one person (and their family) by providing financial access to medications* that are otherwise not funded within the NZ Health System.''
*Common examples of these medications are Keytruda and Fulvestrant.
WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO
In 2018 a member of the extended Livingstone Building whanau needed support to fund a new cancer treatment so we decided to hold a golf day to raise a ‘few thousand dollars’ to help with her costs. $35,000 later, The Charity Golf Day was born. Livingstone supported the 2018 event because of Tristyn and the day was such an amazing success we have gone on to make it an annual event.
Since 2018, the Charity Golf Day has raised over $500,000 for local families who are experiencing terminal illness and require unfunded medication. We are able to do this with the support of a large number of our friends, colleagues, sponsors and business partners. We have had amazing success in extending the life expectation of some amazing people and we look forward to being able to do this each year.
