The objective of the Charity Golf Day is ''To make a significant and quantifiable difference to the life of one person (and their family) by providing financial access to medications* that are otherwise not funded within the NZ Health System.''

*Common examples of these medications are Keytruda and Fulvestrant.

Criteria for fundraising

The Trustees may exercise a degree of discretion however the individual supported each year will unfortunately, meet the following criteria:

Suffers from a Terminal or Life Limiting Illness
Will achieve direct and tangible improvements in quality and/or quantity of life as a result of access to the medication
The drug is approved for use in New Zealand
The drug is available, on prescription, in New Zealand
The drug is prescribed by a New Zealand licensed medical practitioner
The drug is NOT FUNDED by Pharmac
The treatment is not a ‘medical trial’
The individual does not have medical insurance covering the cost of alternative/non-funded therapies
